Triumph the Insult Comic Dog
If
you don't watch Late
Night with Conan O'Brien, you're missing out on some great
comedy, and one of the show's staples is getting his own special on G4TV. Robert
Smigel's snippy puppet creation Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is famous for
trashing his interview victims, humping dog show winners, and even started
a hip-hop gang war with Eminem.
The website lists very little information, so this is likely to be the same material found on the DVD released in 2004, but still a great chance to enjoy some of the hilarious moments from Triumph's "dog on the street" interviews such as those at the Michael Jackson trial and the berating of helpless Star Wars geeks.
I like this character, and Smigel's comedic style so much, I'd like to see a new series. If only Triumph would work the Academy Awards red carpet, now there would be a show.....FOR ME TO POOP ON!
